Our Work
A look at the kinds of news video we produce, from breaking story coverage and live positions to studio interviews and edited packages for television.
The kinds of coverage we deliver to newsrooms
These examples show how we approach different jobs, from a developing incident to a planned studio interview. Each describes the working method and the kit and care involved, rather than any single client's story.
-
Breaking story coverage on location
A two-person crew reaches a developing incident, secures wide, mid and detail shots, and feeds rushes to the newsroom while the story is still moving. Camera work stays steady and framed for broadcast.
-
Live report from a fixed position
Camera on a tripod, lit and mic'd ahead of the slot, so the reporter can go to air from the street without delay. Sound is checked against traffic and wind before the cue.
-
Edited news package with captions
Rushes cut to the newsroom's running order, with voice-over, graphics and captions set in a consistent style. Names and place spellings are checked against the brief before delivery.
-
Two-camera studio interview
A guest is lit and recorded from two angles with clean audio, giving the editor a choice of shots. The studio setup keeps framing steady across a longer conversation.
-
Interview at the client's premises
Lighting and sound are brought to the location and adapted to the room, so the guest speaks in a familiar setting without the picture or audio suffering.
-
Rushes transfer and organised storage
Footage is moved to the newsroom by secure transfer and, where asked, filed in an organised archive that can be searched and sent again when a story returns.
