What we supply

Five services built around the newsroom day

ordivix shoots, edits and delivers news video from Swansea for television newsrooms and broadcasters. Our crews cover breaking stories across South Wales, and our editors turn rushes into finished items. Each service can be booked alone or combined within a single job.

  1. Breaking News Crews

Camera operators and producers sent to developing stories, shooting broadcast-ready footage on location.

  2. Newsroom Edit Packages

Finished news packages cut to your running order, with graphics, captions and voice-over.

  3. Live Position Support

Camera, lighting and sound for live reports from a fixed position or outside broadcast location.

  4. Studio Interview Filming

Lit and recorded interviews in our studio or at your premises with clean audio and steady framing.

  5. Footage Delivery and Archive

Secure transfer of rushes and finished items to your newsroom, with organised storage on request.

Tell us the story, the location and your deadline, and we will agree the scope in writing before any crew is sent or any edit begins.

How a job runs

From first enquiry to footage in your hands

Newsroom work leaves little room for confusion, so each job follows the same short path. You tell us what you need, we confirm it in writing, and the crew or editor works to your running order. Everything ends with a clean delivery to your newsroom.

  1. Enquiry through the contact page

Send us the story, the place, the format you need and the time you need it by. A producer reads every enquiry and replies with questions where the detail is thin, so nobody is guessing about the brief.

What you leave withA clear written brief that both sides have read.

  2. Written quotation or confirmation

We reply with a quotation or confirmation setting out the service, what it includes and what could change the cost, such as extra crew, longer hours or travel. You approve it before work is booked.

What you leave withAn agreed scope and price in writing.

  3. Crew planning

Rhian Pugh plans who goes, what kit travels and how the material will reach you. Contact names are swapped so your desk knows exactly who to call from the location.

What you leave withA named crew and a delivery route for the job.

  4. Shooting or editing

The crew shoots on location, in the studio or at a live position, or our editors cut your package with graphics, captions and voice-over. Accuracy is checked against your notes before anything leaves us.

What you leave withBroadcast-ready footage or a finished item.

  5. Delivery and invoice

Rushes and finished items go to your newsroom by secure transfer, with storage kept if you ask for it. An invoice follows, paid by bank transfer under our payment and refund policy.

What you leave withMaterial in your system and an invoice to settle.

Before we start

What helps us work fast and get it right

A good brief saves minutes that a newsroom rarely has. These are the details that let a crew or editor start properly and avoid repeat calls. If you do not have all of them, send what you have and we will fill the gaps together.

Contact
  1. The story and the angle

Tell us what has happened and what your programme needs from it. An angle on the pictures, such as the scene, the people or the reaction, guides where the camera points. Without it, we shoot widely and you sort it later.

  2. Location and access

Give us the address or the nearest landmark, a site contact if there is one, and any known restrictions. Parking, power and phone signal affect how the crew sets up, especially at live positions.

  3. Format and delivery needs

Say what file format, frame rate and running length your system expects, and where the material should go. Matching your technical standard from the start avoids conversions at the last minute.

  4. Deadline and running order

Tell us when you need the material, and whether it feeds a live slot or a recorded item. For edits, a running order and any script notes let Priya Sharma cut to your structure first time.

  5. Graphics, captions and names

Send spellings of names and places, job titles, and any house style for captions and graphics. Getting a name right the first time is part of accuracy, and it is cheaper than a correction after transmission.

FAQ

Questions we hear often

These are the points newsroom editors ask us most before booking. If yours is not covered, write to us through the contact page and we will answer directly.

How do I request a crew or an edit?
Use the contact form on the contact page and describe the story, the place and your deadline. A producer replies with any questions and a written quotation or confirmation. Nothing is booked until you have approved that in writing.
Do you cover stories outside Swansea?
Our crews cover breaking stories across South Wales, and we will discuss anything further afield case by case. Travel and extra hours can change the cost. We state this in the quotation so there are no surprises on the invoice.
Can you shoot and edit the same story?
Yes. The crew shoots, and our editors cut the rushes into a package to your running order, with graphics, captions and voice-over. Keeping both stages with one team means the person cutting knows what was filmed and why.
What do you deliver, and in what format?
We deliver broadcast-ready footage and finished items in the format your newsroom specifies. Tell us your file type, frame rate and destination when you enquire. Secure transfer is standard, and organised storage is available if you want it.
Can you support a live report?
Live Position Support provides camera, lighting and sound for reports from a fixed position or outside broadcast location. Agree your technical needs with us beforehand, including how the signal is carried. We set up early so the position is ready before you go on air.
Do you film interviews in a studio?
We film interviews in our studio or at your premises, with controlled lighting, clean audio and steady framing. Callum Reid sets up the sound and lights. Send us your guest list and any question notes so we can plan the layout.
How does payment work?
After your enquiry we send a written quotation or confirmation, and once the work is done we issue an invoice. You pay by bank transfer. Cancellations and refunds follow our payment and refund policy, which is on the site.
Can you keep our footage after delivery?
On request we store rushes and finished items in an organised archive and can send them again when you need them. Tell us at the start how long you want material kept so we can set it up correctly.
